Alex Tudor, second prince of Draxon, earns great merit guarding the frontier—but his own family frames him, forcing him into exile through a political marriage to Northam. On the journey, an assassination attempt is thwarted by Northam's princess, Winona Raven, whose uncle schemes to usurp her ailing father's throne.
