Dorothy went into the marriage to pay for her mother's care, which made her the wife of Jerome, the wealthiest man in the capital. She is an andrologist. On the wedding night she met Samuel, presented to her as Jerome's brother, gentle with her and hard to put off, while Jerome himself stayed cold. She spent the months after that moving between the two of them and pulling at the question of who Samuel is. Samuel is a personality Jerome built after his younger brother was taken 17 years ago. The kidnapping goes back to Jerome's uncle, and once Dorothy has that, she and Jerome start working against him together.
