Perfect Score, Zero Mercy

Zach Lowe has been back with his birth parents for three years, in a house where he is not wanted. The Lowe family is rich, and they have an adopted son, Ryan Lowe, and three daughters, and the parents and the daughters all prefer Ryan. On the night the SAT ends, Ryan hits Lauren Hall with his car and leaves her in a vegetative state, and Zach is the one who saves her. For that, his parents and his three sisters together have him put in a detention center. He is released on the day the scores come out, because there is not enough evidence to hold him. His sisters offer him their charity along with their contempt, and he cuts ties with all of them. At the Top Scorer Banquet his score is announced as a perfect one, the highest in the country. His parents and sisters, who had been laughing at him, are in the room for it.
