Lu Zhaoyan married Kuang Yue when he had nothing, and the wealth that later made other women envy her was work she did herself, though few people said so out loud. Her sister Lu Qinning married the military officer Ling Yue, and he was killed in an accident within weeks of the wedding. Qinning never recovered. She came for Zhaoyan and killed her, and Zhaoyan took her sister down with her. Both of them woke up three years earlier, before either wedding, with everything still ahead of them.
