Yasmine Lambert is the daughter of a billionaire, and she keeps that from Jasper Lynn's family because she wants to be taken for herself. The Lynns look down on poor relations and think well of money, so they treat her as a country girl not worth their son. The engagement banquet is where it comes apart. Lara Lambert turns up claiming to be the billionaire's daughter, takes credit for work Yasmine did, and the whole Lynn family accepts her. Jasper goes with them. Yasmine says who she actually is and nobody believes her, and she is put out of the banquet. She decides to make the two of them regret it.
