My Husband Regrets Divorcing Me

The hotel group Cornell works for is run by someone he has never met. That person is Audrey, his wife, who keeps her position as CEO to herself so that his pride stays intact. She works from behind the scenes to put a major hotel project in his hands, and he takes it, rising until he holds the title of the hotel's CEO himself. Cecilia, his first love, comes back around this time, and the marriage strains. Audrey is pressed on all sides, by Cornell and by the people around them both, and she starts to think about divorce. The humiliations pile up. She works out what she is worth and what it has cost her to give herself to the wrong person, and she files for the divorce and moves to take back her place at the top of the company.
