Wrong Sperm Buyer, Right Marriage

Alfred Lane needs money for his mother's medical treatment and cannot raise it. The advertisement he answers is for a paid surrogate father. The woman at the other end of it is Claire Sloane, who runs Saltwick and whose family keeps putting her in front of one marriage prospect after another, including one she wants nothing to do with. The terms are simple. Alfred is paid, Claire gets an heir. Alfred delivers bottled water for a living and does not mention the years he spent in a special forces unit called Wolf Fang. Claire's relatives look down on him and an ex of hers will not let the matter drop, and he deals with both in a way nobody around him expects. The arrangement then pulls the two of them into something bigger than a family quarrel, and they work through it together.
