Tangled In Desire

Daniel Carter is engaged to Isabella, a match arranged to hold his family's business empire together. He is also seeing Mia, a bartender, in secret. Alex, Daniel's closest friend, wants Mia himself and says nothing about it, and the friendship starts to come apart over her. Isabella works out that Daniel has pulled away from her. She fakes a pregnancy, puts an offer to Mia to walk away, and uses what she knows about the family to keep the engagement in place. Daniel was raised to take over the family holdings and the marriage was arranged as part of that, which is why breaking it costs him more than a broken engagement would cost anyone else.
