Synopsis

A husband can insure his wife and collect if she dies. Gan Ya is a housewife, and for years her husband controls the money and hits her. He and his mistress plan to kill her for the insurance payout. Gan Ya kills them both to save herself. The call comes in and the case goes to a police officer, Su Rui. She starts working through it and finds a great deal that nobody had said out loud, and behind that, people with their own reasons and their own stakes.

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
