The Wall Will Talk

Allison Foster saw her husband, Craig Brooks, with another woman. She arranged an accident. Craig disappeared afterward and was never found by the people who searched for him. Investigators looked into the disappearance over the next four years. Allison was questioned more than once and each time the case went nowhere. Their son Cody, who had not been told anything about what happened, began drawing pictures of his father standing inside a wall. He told his mother that someone spoke to him from inside the wall at night. Objects moved in the house. Doors that had been locked were found open. Allison lost sleep and lost weight over it. She took a hammer to the wall herself. Behind the plaster there was nothing, no body, only a dried bloodstain on the brick that looked old. From there the pieces of what had actually happened started to come out. Craig had not died in the accident at all. He had been in contact the whole time with the woman Allison had seen him with, and the two of them had used her breakdown after the disappearance to move money and property out of her name and toward theirs.
