Pearl in the Storm

Robin Stark was taken from her family as a small child by a thief who was after a jade pendant. A street performer, Gary Stark, found her and saved her, and she travelled with him after that. She was strong enough to be accepted into Chinwoo, the largest martial arts school in Genolia. Her background counted against her there. Larry, who was her own brother, bullied her, and their mother Janet treated her badly and misread everything she did. When Robin learned who she really was she refused to acknowledge them. Janet and Larry worked out that she was Betty, the child they had been looking for, and came to her to apologise and ask for a reconciliation.
