My Daughter Called Me a Liar!

Synopsis

A development group has scheduled Thomas' courtyard house for demolition, and his nephew has already sold it to them behind his back and kept the compensation money. Thomas has lived there for twenty years waiting for his daughter Sherry, who was lost in an accident when she was small, in case she ever came back to the address. He goes to the company to ask that the house be spared and is put in front of the chief executive, Lily Lewis. She takes him for a swindler and treats him accordingly. Thomas sees his daughter in her face, but the ginkgo leaf token that would have proved it is missing, and what he says to her is not believed. The demolition machinery arrives at the house.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.

The plot is hard to follow and never really comes together. With all the flashbacks and dream sequences, the pacing has no tension at all…
