Synopsis

The auction where Mia points out a hidden gold mine comes after her adoptive family has already tried to sell her. She is a child with golden eyes and spirit powers, and while she lived with them the family prospered. They gave the credit to their own son and turned on her. She escaped and met Carrick, a tycoon whose luck had run out, her birth father, which neither of them knew. He took her home and his family's fortune recovered. With the gold mine he destroys the family that raised her.
