Mom’s Back, Nobody Touches My Daughter!

A forged letter of authorization puts the Qin family in the hands of Xia Yiming, who married into it, and Tang Rui, the woman he has been carrying on with. His wife Qin Yu is by then locked away on the family's estate in the countryside, where he had lured her, and he lets it be known that she is dead. Qin Yu had been in a bad way since her mother, Qin Zhaoyan, vanished five years earlier without any word, and that is what Xia Yiming used to get her out there. Qin Zhaoyan comes home five years after she disappeared. Xia Yiming tells her that her daughter died of an illness a few days before, and a coffin is laid out for the funeral. Qin Zhaoyan does not believe him. She asks to see her daughter's body and sends her assistant Chen Wei to look into the death. Just as the coffin is about to be burned, she learns that no record of any death exists and that people in the village say they have seen Qin Yu. She has the burning stopped and orders the lid forced open.
