She Who Defies

Winna Yates trains in a martial arts family that has no use for its daughters. She is the more gifted of the children, and her father looks past her anyway, putting everything into her younger brother, who is meant to master the family's martial arts and take over as head of the clan. To get that, he is prepared to sacrifice the women of the York family. Winna will not accept it. A grandmaster takes her as a disciple, which she reaches only because her mother helped her get away, and her mother is punished inside the family for that. Winna trains for years. When she comes down from the mountain it is to get her mother out and to deal with the people responsible.
