A restaurant owner? The queen!

Kanfeng is the son of a wealthy family in Menglian, and his men come to a small restaurant and humiliate a young woman named Grace. Grace's mother is Nora Bauer, once the strongest of the old sovereign's children and the one with the best claim to the throne. She gave that up to run the restaurant and stay near her daughter, who is twenty. Nora's people deal with Kanfeng after the incident at the restaurant, but he does not let it go. On Grace's birthday he comes to the house himself, takes her, and films a video taunting Nora with it. Nora comes home carrying a birthday cake and finds her daughter gone. She goes alone to the address in the video. What is waiting there is not only the kidnapping. Behind Kanfeng lies a wider arrangement, and the city she walks into keeps worse secrets than the one she came for.
