Listen, don’t piss her off!

Serena Vale returns from the war as a general, with the campaign won, and finds her grandfather's family being pushed around and humiliated. She had meant to use the homecoming to find out how her parents died. She was a child then and saw it happen. Fifteen years of service defending the realm came after. The state of her grandfather's household tells her the old case had more to it than she assumed, and she sets about clearing out every injustice she can find, on a course that runs from the rank of general to the throne. She keeps to the rule that the country comes before family, and takes the family's case on as well.
