Back From Death

Julie Lawson's youngest son was the one she died for, poisoned in his place. Sixty years later she wakes in the body of a foster daughter of another household, a girl the family treats badly. She was an Imperial princess before this. In Huai City she finds that son grown old and very ill, and a grandson running the city. Another grandson, Leon, heads a street gang and is the first person she treats, using silver needles. She works her way through the household, and the illnesses turn out to be poisonings arranged from inside the clan. There is a woman passing herself off as the princess, and an heir who is not the heir. At a gathering in the Imperial hall Julie sets out what she has found.
