Crown Snatched, Queen Ascends

Sierra, the daughter of the Marquis of Dingyuan, hopes to become the crown prince's consort. The one she goes after is Julia, whose father, General Wade, died protecting the emperor. After his death Julia's mother Yasmin took her back to their home province, along with a plaque from the court naming them a family of loyal heroes. Eighteen years later Sierra begins tormenting Julia and has the Wade family's ancestral shrine burned. Julia goes to the authorities with a complaint and is jailed for it. Sierra then takes over Julia's identity, is betrothed to the crown prince under Julia's name, and keeps up the persecution of mother and daughter. At the coronation Julia tries to expose the switch. She is framed for a crime and sentenced to death.
