A Love Gone Wrong

The beggar Ethan Harker picks up off the street and puts to use is Mia Harper, the girl he was promised to as a child and the one who took the injuries meant for him. He has no idea. Under his own name, Charles Winters, he watched Richard Harker's people kill everyone in his household. Mia stepped in front of him and was hurt badly, and she disappeared after that and was counted among the lost. This is during the years of the Republic. He grew up and went to Richard Harker, let himself be adopted into the house, and took the name Ethan Harker inside it, meaning to kill the man who took him in. The woman calling herself Lila Lewis is what he uses to get at Richard. He is hard with her and drops her when it suits him. When there is a risk she will talk, he poisons her.
