My Merman Husbands

The merfolk kingdom is at war with itself. The Empress, trying to keep her daughter out of the fighting, seals the spiritual power of the crown princess Chu Yunling and sends her up to the human world, where she surfaces with a human life and a human name, Xia Shiyue, and no memory of what she was. Chu Yunling has four merfolk husbands. They know only that she has vanished and that the account they were given of her disappearance does not hold together. They follow her out of the water and take on identities that let them move through the human world without being noticed for what they are. One becomes a doctor. One becomes a celebrity. One becomes the head of a corporation. One takes over a criminal organisation. From those four positions they search for her and for whoever arranged her removal. When they find Xia Shiyue she does not know any of them, and each of them has to approach her as a stranger, through the life she has built. Old grievances between the four of them surface as they circle her, and the palace matter that drove her out is still unresolved back home.
