My Ex Is Now My Brother?

Nancy and Michael were a couple once, and now they live under one roof as stepsiblings. Nancy was left with relatives as a child and grew up shy and easily hurt. Michael was open and cheerful with her, and she fell for him. Then she found out that her family meant to use the relationship to get money out of Michael, and she broke it off abruptly to keep him clear of them. Three years later Nancy's mother remarries and brings Nancy to live with her. Michael is the son of the new husband. He still resents the way she left him. He tells her he hates her, though he has not managed to forget her. Nancy keeps what she feels to herself because of the new family tie. One misunderstanding follows another between them.
