Dragon Empress Rising

Kate Austin, daughter of the Dragon King, grew up alongside Marcus Jefferson, who later became the Celestial Emperor. The two were betrothed as children. Then Marcus's mother was killed, and he came to believe the dragon clan had allied itself with the demon clan and was responsible, and he cast Kate aside. A thousand years pass. The Dragon King's lands are invaded and he is imprisoned. Kate disguises herself as a celestial lady and slips into the heavenly court to free her father. A love curse throws her and Marcus together for a single night. Afterwards he takes her for a traitor and has her chained at the platform where heaven's punishments are carried out. Kate learns she is pregnant, and that the child is divine. The woman who imprisoned her father then tries to have Kate killed as well.
