Wanna Scam Me? Hit the Road!

Matthew Johnson has no memory of who he is, and he works a shift at a factory owned by a company he does not know he controls. What he starts to notice there is not on any record he can check. He was born in The Smith Village, and he came back quietly, without telling anyone he was chairman of Summit Group. He gave 400,000 dollars to have a road laid through the village. The village head and his nephew took it as a bid to outshine them, so they had the finished road routed around the Johnson house on grounds of a technical problem, and they got the neighbors laughing about it. Then came the demands for money. Matthew refused, and the village head brought a crowd into his house to take what they wanted. His father coughed up blood and went down on the floor. His mother's jade bracelet, handed down in the family, was smashed. Matthew called a work crew, told them who he was, and had the new road blown up. The blast took the road apart and left dust hanging over the village. Driving away from it, he crashed his car.
