Vows Turned to War

On the day his wife is diagnosed with stomach cancer, he claims the cancer is his. He has been married to her for ten years and has given everything he has to the household, and he takes the illness onto himself to protect her and keep the peace. The lie costs him the house. His wife works on him emotionally until he gives way, and he is then served a divorce notice that requires him to leave with nothing and to give up every asset. He decides that the family which has been feeding off him will pay for it. The means come from a program he wrote, which sells for a record sum at the same time the divorce papers arrive.
