Hell of a Couple

Shannon Lew cleans at an MMA club, with her daughter around the place. A challenge match there gets out of hand and she steps in, and a video of it goes around. The Taang family sees it and works out that the cleaner is Sharon Loo, the champion who brought down the MMA League ten years ago by showing in public that it had been fixing results for the families who ran it. Those families have wanted her since. She took the name Shannon and married an ordinary man. The Taang family sends people to kill her. She goes through several of them and gets her daughter out, then drops from exhaustion. Her husband Chris Shaw arrives and takes the rest of them off her. He was trained in an old fighting tradition and had kept that to himself, and another group has been hunting him under a name Shannon did not know he had. The Taang family brings in the other families behind the league, and Chris goes back to the world he left so that his wife and daughter stay alive.
