Forgotten by Memory, Bound by Blood

Alicia and Oscar met abroad and were together long enough that she was pregnant and ready to meet his parents. Then a car crash left Oscar dying and in need of a kidney. Alicia gave him one of hers. He survived the surgery and disappeared from the hospital, and she raised their son Rowan alone for ten years while she kept looking for him. Oscar spent those ten years without any memory of who he had been, running a company and turning down every match his parents arranged for him, because the same woman kept appearing in his sleep. He plays Go, and through the game he became friends with a ten-year-old boy named Rowan. He liked the boy enough to pull strings and find work for the single mother Rowan lived with, having no idea whose face that was. Emilia, a woman who has been courting Oscar with an eye on his family's assets, works out that Rowan may be his son and starts going after Alicia and the boy, harassing them until Alicia agrees to leave the city. Oscar's parents, who have seen Rowan's photograph and heard Alicia's name, ask her to bring the boy to Oscar's birthday party first. Emilia makes a scene there, Oscar moves to shield Alicia and is knocked down, and his head hits the floor hard.
