The Nameless Chef's Final Duel

Bang Chen-sing won the title of best chef in the world, and then his own relatives came after what he had earned. He chose to disappear rather than fight them for it, and the culinary world lost track of the man who had just beaten everyone. A year later he is working as a kitchen hand at the Bamboo Garden restaurant under the name Sing, taking abuse from staff who have no idea who he is. He is content to leave it that way. Then an international restaurant group arrives to inspect the place, and his greedy uncle uses the visit to set a trap designed to take control of the restaurant and ruin it. The restaurant's daughter once saved his life, and that debt is what puts him back on a competition stage against the heir to an imperial cooking lineage. He wins with knife work nobody there can follow and dishes that end the argument. The plot against the restaurant falls apart with it. Cooking in a small kitchen for ordinary people has given him back something the championship took away, and once his name is public he has to decide what to do with a life he had already walked away from.
