Football King

Hector was young and full of himself when he won the Grand Cup final. He broke the leg of an opposing player, Lucas, in the course of it, and he was crowned Football King. While he was celebrating with his family, someone who wanted him hurt paid for it to be done, and the car crash that followed killed his wife, Grace. As she died, she asked him for two things: stop showing off on the pitch, because it makes enemies, and do not let their son walk the same road. Hector swore he would never play again. He took his son Nolan and disappeared into Qingshan, the club Grace had founded, and the two of them lived there quietly with no one knowing who they were. Nolan grows up wanting to rebuild Qingshan and goes straight for a professional football career, following his father without knowing what his father was. Hector blocks him at every turn and will not say why. The distance between them widens into something neither can talk his way out of. Meanwhile Qingshan is being beaten badly and mocked for it, and the people responsible for the crash are still around.
