Ace Bodyguard

The Crawford family wants the Rutherford Group and goes after its CEO, Evelyn Rutherford, without much pretense of keeping it legal. The man hired to stand next to her is Cole Sterling, a retired tier-one operator who came to Silverbay City on his own business, which is finding out how his mentor died. The bodyguard job puts him in front of hired killers and of syndicates that answer to nobody in the Crawford house at all. A chip carrying information pulls him further into a fight between several groups that all want it. The further he traces it, the more of the city sits behind the people coming for Evelyn, and he ends up facing people out of his own past among them.
