Extra? I'm the Real Leading Part!

2026·57 Eps·Free 1 Eps

Synopsis

Zhao Tiezhu comes off a mountain road into a film city, and the crew takes him for one of the extras. He is hungry and he cannot read, so the script is no use to him. He had left home because there was nothing to eat there. He plays the scene out of what he has already been through, and it holds better than the work of the trained actors next to him. He stays on. He keeps to the rules of the set and picks up characters off the pages he is handed, and the work in the story turns into work he does when the cameras are off. He opens ground, plants it, and feeds his family from it.

You Are My Antidote

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
