A family of influencers out of Beverly Hills sits at the top of everyone's feed. A public relations firm works for them, and a school works with the firm, and among the three of them the public gets the version of events that suits them. Nia is eighteen and has nothing to do with any of it until she posts a video about something unfair at her school. It goes viral overnight. Someone recuts the footage into a different story, and the family's following comes after her online. Hidden camera recordings, deepfakes and old buried material surface one piece at a time, and Nia works out that the school, the firm and the family are running the deception together. She wants her family left alone and she wants to know what actually happened, so she goes in with Jax, a rich kid who directs documentaries, and starts hitting back. Everyone involved is holding something back, Nia included. The only way left to put the whole thing in front of people is a live stream, and she has to decide whether to do it.
