Sierra Laurence was the family's own daughter by blood, brought back to the house and wanting to be taken as one of them. They had raised another girl in her place, and it was the adopted one they sided with each time. Sierra was pushed around in that house from the day she came into it. At her own birthday party the adopted sister set things up so that the blame for what happened fell on Sierra. Her father took the adopted daughter's word and put Sierra out. The adopted sister went after her afterward and left her close to dead. Simon Gray, the richest man in the city, found her and got her looked after. When she came round she told the family she was finished with them and cut off contact.
