Synopsis

Four-and-a-half-year-old Winifred comes down from the mountains in search of her father and meets disbelief, cruelty, and even kidnapping. Her resourcefulness nevertheless resolves crisis after crisis for the Schmitt family and brings long-buried secrets to light.
