A Father's Fangs

The corrupt families who run Saltgrave lean on whoever is in front of them. Dylan is one of them, living in poverty and working as a laborer, and his pregnant wife Eva gets the same treatment. A man named Yavuz threatens the two of them in a restaurant. Reynold Zedler, the richest man in the world, has been abroad for twenty years. He learns at his late wife's grave that the son he lost contact with has married and that his daughter-in-law is six months pregnant, and he goes looking for him. He steps in at the restaurant. Dylan later takes a supervisor job on a construction site, where his insistence on quality angers a contractor working with the family that controls the city, and the harassment keeps coming. Reynold meets a doctor while he is dealing with all this. He is also there to find out who killed his wife, and taking apart the underworld in Saltgrave means picking his old power back up and letting people know who he is.
