An-bi's family factory is failing and she trades her marriage for the money to save it. Bong-jung has the capital, and on their first day as a married couple he sets the terms out loud: she can have his money, she cannot have him, and the arrangement is a business deal and nothing else. She takes him at his word. She keeps to her side of the house and treats him exactly the way he asked to be treated, which turns out to be the one thing he had not planned for. A month into the marriage he is sitting in front of her in a bathrobe, open at the front, showing off his stomach and waiting. An-bi looks at him and asks, politely, whether Mr. Bong is cold. She is not being cruel. She is holding to the rule he wrote himself, and he is discovering how much he dislikes it now that someone is actually following it.
