The Fitting Room Scandal

Quinn is 52 and runs an internal medicine department at a large hospital. An emergency call brings in a man who collapsed in a store fitting room after taking sildenafil, and the man is her husband. The woman who brought him in is her son's fiancée. She tries to stop the engagement. Her son does not believe a word of it, and the fiancée says she is carrying his child, which ends the argument for him. Her husband, who supplies medical equipment, shows no regret and starts looking for ways to work the hospital's purchasing for his own company. He and the fiancée take out an accident policy on Quinn with a large payout. Quinn walks in on the two of them talking it through. She gathers the evidence and waits. At the engagement banquet she plays the fitting room security footage, and her son breaks with the fiancée. Quinn divorces, leaves her job, and takes an offer to head a provincial hospital, where she goes after the way drugs and devices are bought there. Her ex-husband and the fiancée turn up at that hospital to sell equipment priced far above what it can do, and she knows the pitch when she hears it.
