When Love Opened Her Eyes

Zoey Lynn is a minor character in a novel, one of the ones written in to be used up and discarded. She works out what is waiting for her and marries Ian Lewis within days of meeting him. At a banquet held for an elder of the family, Nora Sharp and several others set a trap for her. Zoey turns it back on them and uses the same evening to break off her engagement to her former fiance. Later there is a jewelry design competition. Nora has been presenting herself there as a designer called Miya, and Zoey shows that the name and the work behind it are not hers. The exposure puts Zoey in charge of the Lynn Group.
