Vanished Gem, Snatched Heart

The sapphire came with conditions. Cassandra agreed to all of them and married Ye Chen under a contract to get near it. She had been an agent for years. The stone was a Ye family heirloom and she had gone after it once before, and that was when she turned invisible for the first time. On the night of the marriage vows she went invisible and moved on the sapphire. The power gave out partway. She was close to standing in front of the guests with nothing on when Ye Chen reached her first, and that came near to giving away her work. Later she opened the door of the ice chamber to get Ye Chen out, and the only thing that would open it was the key an agent carries. Using it exposed her as an agent and made clear who she answered to.
