When Love Moves On

Queen Adams and Leon Bailey have been together seven years and work at the same place, the Sajan Group. Leon is General Manager. He got there four years after joining, on results that were mostly Queen's doing. She is as able as he is and let the credit go to him, and what he gave her for it was a fake ring and a promise that when the branch came first in the city he would propose with a real one. The branch came first three years later. By then Leon had gone cold on her. He fusses over a new employee on his team, and a lunch box Queen made for him went to that woman's dog. He is counting on seven years to hold her where she is. Marty Brooks sat in the same university classes as the two of them and wanted Queen as well. He worked for the Sajan offer for the reason Leon did, to stay near her after graduation, and he was getting up the nerve to say something when he found out Leon had said it first and been accepted. Marty is at the overseas division now. Queen puts in for a transfer there, and Leon starts trying to hold on to her.
