Fear Not, Mommy: Quade Strikes

Audrey Sterling wants the four children who were taken from her on the day they were born. Her half-sister Melody Sterling killed someone by accident, and their father, Melody's mother and Melody made Audrey take the blame. Audrey ran from the house. In the mountains she came across Vincent Vance, who was injured and had been given a drug, and she slept with him. He left a jade pendant behind when he went. The Sterlings caught up with Audrey, the pendant fell from her, and Melody picked it up and later used it to pass herself off to Vincent as the woman from that night. Ten months on Audrey gave birth to quadruplets. Melody took the babies and dumped them, then accused Audrey of killing them, and Audrey served five years in prison for it. On her release Melody's men sold her to a club. The children survived. One of them, Deuce, is a hacker, and he works out where Audrey is and sends his eldest brother, who can fight, to get her out. The eldest boy also tracks down Vincent, tells him he is his father, and gets him to help. Vincent remembers a flower-shaped birthmark on the woman from the mountains and asks to check both sisters. Audrey has the birthmark, and it turns out Melody has had an identical one tattooed onto herself. Vincent starts to think he was wrong about Melody. Then a paternity test is brought in showing the eldest boy is no relation of his. Melody paid a city hospital to fake it, and a man who dated Audrey years earlier turns up to say the boy is his. Vincent doubts the man but has no way to prove otherwise. He cools toward Melody all the same. Melody bids on a painting at an auction to give his grandmother at her birthday dinner. She then poisons Audrey and the children and tells Vincent she will hand over the antidote when he marries her. Vincent and Audrey agree to the engagement and start planning around it.
