Once Upon A Dream

Shen Qingtang lives in the Pei household as the sister, in name only, of Pei Congzhi, the eldest son of the Marquis of Chengping. Her own family was wiped out when she was a child, and Pei Congzhi, who is about her age, was the one who took her in, so she grew up there as a foster daughter living on the family's charity. The years since have brought her unfair treatment and pressure from every side of the house. The one person she could lean on is Pei Congzhi himself, and he is dangerous in ways she cannot read or manage. The strain wears her down until she decides to get out. She means to leave Pei Congzhi behind and escape the danger and uncertainty that surround her there.
