Casey marries a man she met on the street the night before her wedding, so that the wedding can go ahead on the date already set. Hours before, she had discovered her fiancé's affair with her half-sister, who was already wearing the dress Casey was to be married in the next day. The stranger she picks is someone she happened to save when he was in trouble. She takes him for an ordinary man, and so does everyone else. He is Nicholas Johnson, a billionaire of the Johnson Group. Under the terms of the arrangement the two of them start living together, and they find themselves drawn to each other in ways neither of them planned on.
