Synopsis
Adrian leaves his daughter Esther in the parked car and goes off to spend time with Stacy and her son Lucas. Stacy is the girl he grew up with. The summer sun builds until the car overheats and shuts down, and the air conditioning stops with it. Esther gets hot enough to be at risk of heatstroke and comes close to fainting. She calls Adrian to ask for help. He hangs up without listening to her. With her tablet nearly out of battery she calls her mother, Claire, and begs her to come. The tablet dies before she can say where the car is, and Claire starts looking for her.
