My Bandit Lover is the Emperor

Jyara lost the war, so its princess Anya is sent off to be married into the kingdom that beat it. On the road her party is taken by a pack-horse caravan of bandits, and their chief Wyatt Igan very nearly takes her by force. Anya schemes her way out of the camp and into the imperial palace of Eoghan, which was the destination anyway, and there she finds the emperor confined to bed and unable to govern. His face is the face of Wyatt Igan, feature for feature. Wyatt follows her in, dressed as a eunuch, and takes a position close to her. Actual power in the palace belongs to the Prince Regent, and he wants Anya himself. She is now inside a court where every alliance is a trap and where the men around her all want something from her body or her name. She uses that. She sets herself out as bait and lets him keep the bandit identity as cover, and between the two of them they work the bedchamber and the audience hall at the same time.
