Destined Love

Galen Simmar holds enough standing that a marriage to him is arranged for Serena Zane before she has any say in it. Serena has only just been found by her birth father and moved into a noble household, and she wants one husband for life, so she refuses the match. To show her father she is right about Galen, she hides who she is and enrols at the academy Galen founded, looking for the fault in him that would let her break the engagement. Her adopted brother and sister work against her there. She meets a plain scholar at the academy, someone she knew as a child, and grows close to him while Galen is rumoured to want more than one wife.
