Fly, Little Captain

Teddy, an ace pilot, woke in his own body at eight years old, seated on a flight beside his father. He knew from before that the plane went down and everyone aboard died. At 9,000 metres a fire took hold at the wing, the cabin broke open, and cold air came through it. The captain was unconscious, the signal was lost, and the fuel tank was leaking. The passengers questioned the boy telling them what to do. The ground below offered no clear place to put the aircraft down, and the emergency landing he had to attempt carried a 1 percent chance of survival. His father had died in the first version of this shielding him with his own body.
