Bridal Betrayal: Poison and Trap

Ryan Scott ran the shipping trade around Harbor City for decades. Past fifty, he decided to retire and arranged to marry Yvonne Stafford, a nurse. He put on a large wedding and signed a company valued at eighty million over to her as a wedding present. Yvonne had been with Simon Baller since childhood and kept the relationship going in secret through two years of behaving in front of Ryan as though there were nothing in it. She took poison from a friend of hers and gave it to Ryan in doses on several occasions. The arrangement between her and Simon was to take the property after the wedding, kill him, and leave together. Ryan worked out what was going on early and said nothing. On the wedding day he replaced the lubricant the two of them used with a strong adhesive, and they were stuck together in front of the guests. He then set up a run of deals that left Yvonne carrying very large debts, and her family and her friends turned on her over the money. Yvonne, her brother and Simon began working against each other.
