Synopsis

After four years in prison for a frame-up, Kui Medical Hall heir Ren Feifan returns to North City to identify who destroyed his family. His investigation leads to Wang's Pharmaceutical and a broader challenge to traditional Chinese medicine from foreign interests. Reuniting with former fiancée Xu Ruojin gives him both an ally in the crisis and a chance to rebuild their broken trust.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
