Years ago Theo and Cade were each other's first love. Theo ended it and left, and he did it in a way that gave Cade no consideration at all. Since then Theo has been trying to make a living as an actor. It has not worked, and he owes more money than he can pay. He is offered a job posing as the boyfriend of a retired billionaire, and he takes it. The billionaire's son runs the family company as its CEO, and the son is Cade. Theo learns this once he has started the job. Cade has decided Theo is going to pay for how he left.
